Governing Body

The Governing Body of Shyambazar Law College is responsible for determining the educational character and mission of the College and for oversight of its activities; approving the quality strategy of the institution, the effective and efficient use of resources, the solvency of the College and the Governing Body and safeguarding assets and various issues and aspects related to the development of the college and its academic standards. It includes considering and approving the institution strategic plan which sets the academic aim and objectives of the institution and identifies the financial, physical and staffing strategies in order to achieve the goals of the institute.

Shyambazar Law College is a unit of S. S. Educational Trust, registered under Indian Trust Act, 1882.
The noble idea of the Shyambazar Law College, which is affiliated to the University of Calcutta is to bring legal education within the widest reach of the society. With the help of highly distinguished members of the Advisory Board and eminent Faculty our College is posed to provide quality legal education.

Shyambazar Law College is established by S. S. Educational Trust as a College of Law, affiliated to the University of Calcutta. As such it is imperative on the part of this College to impart instructions in the subjects prescribed by the University of Calcutta. In our College we propose to develop an innovative way of imparting legal education keeping with requirements of the present day. We shall seek for changing the attitudes towards the Study of Law vis-avis changing needs of the Society.
